2026 Seafood Excellence Asia Awards winners. Vinh Hoan Corporation won the Best New Product award for its Cured Panga Croquette, representing the best new seafood product at Seafood Expo Asia.
Seafood Expo Asia/Seafood Processing Asia, organised by Diversified, announced the winner of the 4th annual Seafood Excellence Asia awards at the three-day seafood trade event taking place from 2-4 September in Singapore. Vinh Hoan Corporation (Vietnam) won the Best New Product award for its retail product Cured Panga Croquette. The awards for second and third place for Best New Product were given to Lam Kee Fisheries Pte., Ltd (Singapore) for its Japanese Curry Cod Cube and Hai Sia Seafood Pte Ltd. (Singapore) for its Kami No Ebi.
The Seafood Excellence Asia awards recognise the product leaders in the Asian seafood market. The winners were selected from a group of new seafood products entered in the competition and from around the world. The winning products were judged based on several criteria, including eating experience, packaging, market potential, originality and convenience.
A live judging took place this morning in the Demo Theatre by a panel of high-volume seafood buyers and industry experts from the retail and foodservice industries across Asia. The judges of the 2026 Seafood Excellence Asia awards included Bidfood Malaysia from Malaysia, Central Food Wholesales Ltd. from Thailand, Cold Storage & Giant Singapore from Singapore, Emart from South Korea, and Shangri-La Group from Philippines.
The Seafood Excellence Asia awards competition is an extension of the Seafood Excellence Awards featured at Seafood Expo North America and Seafood Expo Global, which consist of seafood buyers tasting, judging and selecting the best seafood products in the retail and HORECA (hotel/restaurant/catering) sectors.
