ASC TO AWARD BEST SEAFOOD BRANDS AND RETAILERS OF 2023
Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) to award best seafood brands and retailers of 2023 in annual ceremony
For the third consecutive year, the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) is delighted to join the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) to sponsor a range of dedicated ASC awards as part of MSC’s UK Awards in 2023.
Now in their tenth year, the MSC UK Awards celebrate outstanding achievements and performance in sustainable seafood across the UK.
The dedicated ASC awards recognise the importance of responsibly farmed seafood for UK consumers and honour the remarkable retailers and brands driving sustainability within the supply chain.
This year’s ceremony will be hosted at the historic Fishmongers’ Hall in London on Thursday, 26th October 2023.
Previous winners of the ASC awards include leading UK retailers Sainsbury’s and Lidl, and major global supplier, Mowi Consumer Products. The companies were commended for their significant commitment to expanding the availability of responsibly farmed seafood in the UK.
Submissions and nominations now open
The 2023 ASC awards include three categories, including debut award, ASC UK Brand of the Year, and previous categories, ASC UK Retailer of the Year and ASC UK Retailer Supplier of the Year.
Developed to encompass the entire aquaculture supply chain from farm to fork, the ASC awards provide UK consumers – increasingly conscious of sustainability – with confidence that winning brands and retailers meet the highest global standards for responsibly farmed seafood.
Entries to the ASC awards will be assessed by a panel of industry experts and cover the period from 1st April 2022 to 31st March 2023.
The deadline for submissions and nominations closes at 5pm on Friday, 8th September 2023.
