Environmental opportunities – Oban or Shetland
Scottish Sea Farms environment team play a key role in ensuring we farm in the most responsible, sustainable way. Now, we’re looking to add to the team, with the option to be based in Oban or Shetland.
Educated to Degree level in a scientific or environmental discipline, you’ll have experience in marine survey and monitoring work to help meet the requirements of our various regulators. As such, familiarity with the regulatory regimes affecting Scottish aquaculture would be hugely beneficial.
If successful, you’ll divide your time between working out in the field at our marine farms and our regional production offices.
To thrive in the role, you will be a natural communicator with excellent oral and written skills; enjoy contributing to the team; and will be computer literate.
Data analysis and reporting will be an integral part of this role, therefore experience in the use of GIS – whilst not essential – would be an advantage.
About the role
The available posts will be based at our offices at South Shian near Oban or Scalloway in Shetland but will require periods of survey work at our company sites across Argyll, Highland, Orkney and Shetland.
A current driving licence is essential.
