The decision to move the fair to Vigo in 2023 and establish it as a biennial event has clearly paid off. “With five months remaining before the event\, we’ve already met our initial goals and continue to receive an overwhelming number of requests\, prompting us to expand the event’s capacity\,” said Juan Lijó\, the director of the fair. \nA Rapidly Expanding Event\nThe rising interest in Aquafuture Spain is not only evident in the increased number of exhibitors but also in the growing demand for attendance. The organisers are expecting over 8\,000 visitors across the three days of the fair\, driven by an expanded programme and the event’s increasing international appeal. \nThe fair’s success is also underpinned by the support of key regional and national institutions\, including Xunta de Galicia\, Diputación de Pontevedra\, Concello de Vigo\, Consorcio de la Zona Franca de Vigo\, and Abanca. These institutions have emphasised the significance of holding Spain’s only aquaculture trade fair in Galicia\, a region central to the aquaculture industry. \nA Comprehensive Programme of Presentations and Conferences\nAquafuture Spain extends beyond just exhibition booths. The event will feature an enhanced programme with more than 80 international speakers and a range of parallel activities designed to foster knowledge exchange and innovation. \nTwo dedicated presentation rooms will allow exhibitors to showcase their products\, research\, and technological advancements.
