DESCRIPTION:Seafood Week 2019. Seafood Week is an annual campaign aimed at getting more people to eat more fish\, more often. Seafish runs the eight-day celebration every October and highlights the variety and quality of fish and shellfish on offer in the UK \nThe campaign is co-ordinated by od Week 2019 as a flexible platform for businesses and organisations from across the industry and throughout the supply chain to get involved. It is also an initiative to get more people excited about eating seafood.\n\nSeafood Week 2018 Results\nSeafood Week 2018 was even bigger and better than ever before and showcased a brand new look. The total campaign reach was over 416 million (+75% on last year) across all press activity with 188 pieces of coverage secured (+40% on last year). \nBusinesses across the whole supply chain got involved with great ways to buy\, cook and dine out on great seafood choices; while also championing our Seafood Week initiative through their own marketing channels. \nThis year saw a 117% increase in social media engagement which encouraged the public to take part online\, and gave businesses the opportunity for their brands to be more visible to potential customers. A different species was celebrated on each day of Seafood Week\, with alternatives promoted to ensure that consumers are made aware of the great choice and quality available in the UK. \nEvents were held across the UK creating a buzz for seafood plus Seafood Week was even mentioned on TV. 2018 saw the launch of a partnership with The British Heart Foundation as part our health campaign promoting the health benefits of seafood. \nSeafood Week 2019 will be held on 4th to 11th October 2019 so watch this space for some exciting news about what we have in store for it!

Thanks to this sort of innovative and creative thinking\, happily the future of the Icelandic fishing industry is bright. \nThe second Icelandic Fishing Expo 2019 is now being organised\, an exhibition planned and organised entirely by Icelanders as in 2016. According to both attendees and exhibitors participating in the first show. It was a great success. The aim of the show was to create a common ground for all professionals and other interested parties to discover advances and nuances within the fishing industry. Therefore the price of the exhibition space was very affordable and as well as the added benefit of giving exhibitors as many invitation passes as they did wish at no added cost. Which was the key of to the exhibition’s success. The exhibitors could send out invitations to the guests whom they wanted to visit their booth\, to enable the promotion of their products\, which was very effective.

DESCRIPTION:China Fisheries & Seafood Expo was created in 1996 as a joint venture between the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Unit (CCPIT-SSA)\, a division within China’s Ministry of Agriculture\, and Sea Fare Expositions\, Inc.\, a privately held company based in Seattle\, Washington which has been organizing trade expositions for the seafood industry since 1984. As the Overseas Organizer\, Sea Fare Expositions was responsible for recruiting exhibitors and visitors from outside China.\n\n\n\nIn 2005\, Sea Fare Expositions created a wholly-owned foreign subsidiary in Beijing\, Sea Fare (China) Ltd.\, to increase both visitor and exhibitor participation among both Chinese and overseas companies with offices in China. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nQingdao was selected as the site for the first China Fisheries & Seafood Expo in 1996 due to its large and growing base of both primary and secondary processors as well as seafood importers. The first show was held in a small convention center with approximately 250 exhibiting companies\, about 60% of which were from China. At the time\, China had just begun importing seafood in significant quantities due to a temporary policy that allowed Chinese companies fishing overseas to import seafood duty free. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAs China’s international seafood trade grew from US$4.2 billion in 1996 to US$20.4 billion by 2010\, CFSE grew as well to become the second largest seafood exposition in the world. In 1997 the show had already outgrown the original convention center and was moved to the Ministry of Agriculture’s Exhibition Hall in Beijing to accommodate the 300 companies exhibiting at the show in its second year. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n In 1998 the show hosted 350 exhibitors and was moved again to the city of Dalian into a new convention center built by the city. Like Qingdao\, Dalian has a large seafood processing and importing sector. CFSE was moved again for the 1999 show\, this time to Shanghai to encourage more participation by Chinese producers and buyers.

DESCRIPTION:Welcome to Skipper Expo Bristol \nEstablished in 2013\, Skipper Expo Bristol is a specially created commercial fisheries show for the English and Welsh fishing industries. \nThursday 10 am to 4 pm |  Friday 10am to 5 pm \nMara Media publishes the widely respected ‘The Skipper’ magazine\, a monthly publication for the Irish and UK fishing industries. Mara Media had already established Skipper Expo Int. Galway in Ireland in 2005\, and Skipper Expo Int. Aberdeen in 2011\, and following the success of these events\, decided that the English and Welsh fishing sectors would also benefit from an all-encompassing annual fisheries exhibition. \nThe Bristol expo\, which is now being held annually at the Ashton Gate Stadium\, has proved very popular with the industry and has been growing year-on-year\, with there being around 80 exhibitors at the most recent event. \nThe success of the show can be attributed to the fact that the expo is a great place to do business\, as well as being the ideal venue for the fishing industry to network and socialise. \nSuch success is confirmed by the universally positive testimonials from exhibitors and visitors alike.
