DESCRIPTION:11th Our Ocean Conference 2026. The eleventh Our Ocean Conference will be held in Mombasa\, Kenya\, from June 16 to 18\, 2026. \n\nIn 2026\, Kenya will host the 11th Our Ocean Conference in Mombasa on the vibrant Swahili Coast. As the first Our Ocean Conference held on African soil\, the conference will place a global spotlight on ocean action and leadership across Africa and highlight the unique coastal communities\, biodiversity\, and ecosystems of Kenya and East Africa. \nGuided by the theme “Our Ocean\, Our Heritage\, Our Future” the conference will focus on the essential role that the ocean plays in shaping culture\, communities\, and livelihoods. Under Kenya’s leadership\, the eleventh Our Ocean Conference will unite governments\, communities\, innovators\, and businesses to move the global ocean agenda from dialogue to delivery\, placing jobs\, equity\, and healthy oceans at the centre of international cooperation. \nReflecting Kenya’s role as a regional hub for ocean research\, technological innovation and community-led ocean management\, the 2026 conference will: \n\nengage the private sector and deliver investment in the sustainable blue economy\nempower and elevate young ocean leaders\ncatalyse ocean finance\ncollaboratively combat illegal\, unreported and unregulated fishing (IUU)\nadvance marine conservation and restoration efforts that deliver on both climate and 30×30 goals.\n\nThis landmark event offers a unique opportunity to shape the global ocean agenda for the next decade. As we enter the second half of the “critical decade” for the ocean\, the 2026 Our Ocean Conference presents a key moment to focus our attention on meaningful action and ramp up efforts to meet our global goals. \nIn June 2026\, Kenya will welcome the global community to come together to protect our shared ocean\, preserve our heritage\, and secure a thriving future for generations to come. \nSource
