FISH TACOS
Fish tacos. Nacho average taco – bright, zingy and bursting with flavour, you’ll want more and more of these yummy cod tacos.

Ingredients
Fish
200g cod filets
50g garlic oil
Chilli sauce
Batter
550g beer
400g flour
10g salt
10g baking soda
Coleslaw
50g carrots
150g white cabbage
150g red cabbage
Juice from 1 lime
4g salt
50ml apple cider vinegar
2g parsley
Chili mayo
200 g mayonnaise
15 g chili sauce (sriracha)
2g salt
Other ingredients
Tortillas 6”
Lime
Finely chopped coriander leaves
1,5 litre frying oil
Spring onion
Method
Coleslaw
Finely grate cabbage and carrots
Simmer red cabbage, white cabbage and carrots in a pan.
Add vinegar, lime juice, sugar and salt.
Finish with parsley and remove from heat.
Batter
Mix flour with baking soda, salt and beer and stir.
Fish
Cut to approx. 5 cm strips.
Rub with garlic oil and chilli sauce.
Cover in batter and deep fry in oil at 180°C for 5 min.
Serve on a tortilla with coleslaw, chilli mayo, spring onions, coriander and a slice of lime.
Cod is high in B12, phosphate, selenium, and protein, among other nutrients. It also contains potassium, niacin, Vitamin B6, pantothenic acid, and omega-3 fatty acids. Furthermore, you can derive Cod liver oil from it, which is high in vitamins A, D, E, and omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA)
