FISH WASTE FOR PROFIT CONFERENCE 2019

The 3rd edition of the Icelandic Fisheries Conference, will be the Fish Waste for Profit conference 2019 and for the first time it will run separately to the IceFish Exhibition.
It is estimated thatt 43% of shellfish and fish resources are wasted, representing a large amount of lost profit that could potentially be made on discarded fish waste. Potentially valuable oils are found in fish processing by-products, which are used in foods and in many high value products for non-food sectors including cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and biodiesels
The Fish Waste for Profit conference gives delegates a chance to increase their knowledge, to enable them to maximise their return on investment from fish processing by-products. It is more important than ever for the industry to minimise wastage and utilise opportunities to earn extra revenue, with gross catch tonnage on the decline and ever-increasing costs
Iceland has again been selected as the location of Fish Waste for Profit, due to its close links with the Icelandic Fisheries Exhibition and because Iceland is home to many individuals and companies leading the way in the waste reutilisation industry.
Previous Fish Waste for Profit conferences have attracted delegates from across Europe and North America, with more than half of attendees holding senior positions within their associated companies.
This is a must attend event for owners and CEOs from the fishing, processing and aquaculture sectors, and also those in the associated supply chain seeking to discover new innovations and industry insights, and to develop relations with key industry stakeholders.
