Landia Launches New All-in-One Fish Silage System
Landia has introduced the new PowerEnsiler, an advanced all-in-one fish silage system developed for demanding aquaculture environments where hygiene, reliability and stable processing are essential.
Designed to deliver consistent, long-term silage quality, the PowerEnsiler draws on Landia’s extensive practical experience within the aquaculture sector. The system combines rapid and efficient flow with integrated cutting technology, all controlled through a single management system covering both the ensiling and storage tanks.
A key feature of the system is that all critical components are manufactured by Landia, providing operators with full compatibility, clear accountability and streamlined support from a single supplier. Founded in 1933, Landia has a long-established reputation for engineering solutions in challenging processing environments.
The PowerEnsiler is available in tank sizes ranging from 1m³ to 25m³, with vessels supplied in either polyethylene (PE) or acid-resistant AISI-316 stainless steel. ATEX-approved configurations are also available for installations requiring enhanced safety compliance.
At the heart of the system is the proven Landia Chopper Pump, originally invented by the company in 1950 as the world’s first chopper pump. Manufactured in AISI-316 stainless steel, the pump is designed to withstand the low pH conditions typically associated with fish silage processing.
The efficiency of the Landia Chopper Pump’s knife system removes the need for external grinders, consistently macerating fish heads, bones, guts and skin into a homogenous, pumpable silage. The resulting product can be used as a valuable high-protein animal feed ingredient or as an organic liquid fertiliser.
