Russian crabber delivered – The Pella Leningrad Shipbuilding Plant in Russia and the Antey Far East company signed the acceptance and transfer certificate of its lead vessel for crab production, the ‘Rus’.
‘Rus’ is the first vessel built in the framework of the state programme of investment quotas for the catching of crab. Technical characteristics of the crab catcher fully comply with the requirements of the current regulatory documents of the programme.
The laying of the ship “Rus” took place on March 2, 2018, launching on December 26, 2018. Factory sea trials, the results of which confirmed the basic design characteristics of the vessel, were completed on May 7, 2020.
As part of the continuation of the 03070 series of projects, the Pella plant is constructing two other crab-boats. Like Rus, these vessels are built under the investment quota programme for crab catching
Project 03070 crab fishing vessel is intended for specialized bottom fishing of crab (Kamchatka, Opilio, blue, etc.) with “Japanese” type cone traps. To transport the crab, trellised baskets are used, which are placed in thermally insulated tanks with chilled and prepared seawater (RSW tanks).
