Russian fish catch rises marginally

According to the sectoral monitoring system, the total volume of catch of aquatic biological resources by all Russian users as of December 28 amounted to 4,926.78 thousand tons (including 104.9 thousand tons in inland water bodies), which is 42, 95 thousand tons or 0.9% more than in 2019.

In the Far Eastern fishery basin, the total volume of production of aquatic biological resources amounted to 3,541.40 thousand tons (138.49 thousand tons or 4.07% more than in 2019). In the pollock fishery, the catch amounted to 1,813.50 thousand tons (+91.31 thousand tons), in the cod fishery – 170.65 thousand tons (+17.11 thousand tons), in the herring fishery – 402.79 thousand tons. tons (+24.84 thousand tons).

In the Northern fishery basin, the total production amounted to 488.70 thousand tons (-4.84 thousand tons or -0.98%). In the cod fishery, the catch amounted to 303 thousand tons (-13.84 thousand tons), haddock – 87.47 thousand tons (+11.66 thousand tons).

The total volume of production in the Western fishery basin amounted to 82.83 thousand tons (+5.06 thousand tons or + 6.5%). In the sprat fishery, the catch amounted to 44.93 thousand tons (+4.72 thousand tons), Baltic herring – 25.85 thousand tons (+1.1 thousand tons).

In the Azov-Black Sea fishery basin, the total production amounted to 68.24 thousand tons (-5.58 thousand tons or -7.56%). In the anchovy fishery, the catch was 30.85 thousand tons (-0.36 thousand tons), in the sprat fishery, the catch – 18.28 thousand tons, (+0.34 thousand tons), in the sprat fishery – 2.17 thousand tons (-1.1 thousand tons).

In the Volga-Caspian fishery basin, the total production volume amounted to 80.62 thousand tons (+7.82 thousand tons or + 10.74%). The volume of sprat harvest amounted to 13.29 thousand tons (+10.53 thousand tons), partial fish species – 28.21 thousand tons (-2.56 thousand tons), aquatic biological resources – 30.22 thousand tons ( -0.73 thousand tons).

The total volume of production in the zones of foreign states amounted to 326.1 thousand tons (-54.3 thousand tons), in conventional areas and the open part of the World Ocean – 287.8 thousand tons (-41.6 thousand tons).
