THREE FINALISTS ANNOUNCED FOR THE NASF SUSTAINABILITY AWARD 2026

Three finalists announced for the NASF Sustainability Award 2026. The North Atlantic Seafood Forum (NASF) has announced the three finalists for the NASF Sustainability Award 2026, recognising outstanding contributions to sustainability within the global seafood industry.

The award was established to recognise the important work carried out by companies and initiatives within the sustainability field and to highlight the vital role sustainability plays as an integrated part of modern corporate business. Despite the relatively short notice following the award’s establishment, this year’s call for nominations yielded seven distinguished submissions, reflecting strong engagement across the seafood sector.

After a thorough review process, the jury selected the following three finalists:

The Seafood Carbon Emissions Profiling Tool (SCEPT) is a climate-focused initiative developed to measure and profile carbon emissions across the seafood value chain, providing companies with data to support emissions reduction and improved environmental performance.

The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) is an international non-profit organisation that sets standards for sustainable fishing and operates a globally recognised certification and ecolabelling programme for wild-capture fisheries.

Veramaris produces marine omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA) from microalgae, offering a sustainable alternative to traditional fish oil for aquaculture feed.

The recipient of the NASF Sustainability Award 2026 will be formally announced during the NASF Sustainability Summit on Wednesday, 3 March, at approximately 12:15 during NASF 2026 in Bergen.
