Princess Royal visits Fraserburgh seafood factory

International Fish Canners (Scotland) Ltd welcomed HRH The Princess Royal to its Fraserburgh facility, where she was given an insight into the company’s operations and met members of its team.

It was a special day at International Fish Canners (Scotland) Ltd in Fraserburgh as the company welcomed HRH The Princess Royal, Princess Anne, to its facility.

During the visit, The Princess Royal had the opportunity to see the company’s operation first-hand and meet some of the people behind the business.

The visit provided an opportunity for International Fish Canners to showcase its work, share the story of the company and highlight the people and communities that underpin its activities.

For the Fraserburgh-based business, the royal visit was also a recognition of the contribution made by manufacturing and the fishing industry to the local economy and the wider North East of Scotland.

International Fish Canners said it was particularly proud to showcase the expertise, commitment and hard work of its team, as well as the important role the sector continues to play in Fraserburgh.

The company said: “We were delighted and honoured to welcome HRH The Princess Royal, Princess Anne, to our facility, where she had the opportunity to see our operation first-hand and meet some of the fantastic people who make our business what it is.

“Her visit was a wonderful recognition of the hard work, commitment and expertise within our team, and of the important role that manufacturing and the fishing industry continue to play in Fraserburgh and the wider North East of Scotland.

“It was a privilege to showcase what we do, share our story and discuss the people and communities behind our business.”

The visit was described by the company as a memorable occasion and one of which the team is “extremely proud”.
