The Iceland Fishing Expo 2025 will be held in Laugardalshöll on September 10-12, 2025.

In recent years, the Icelandic fishing industry has been in a steady upswing. It can truly be said that there is a technological revolution in the fishing and processing of fish products that has brought the Icelandic fishing industry to the forefront. Icelandic freezing plants have become high-tech and the fishing fleet is equipped with the latest and most advanced technical equipment for fishing. A number of start-up companies have been set up, but these companies have come a long way in pioneering work in terms of new methods of processing products from fish, such as cosmetics, medicines and vitamins, as well as various design products made from fish skin. Thanks to this pioneering work and creative thinking, it can truly be said that the future of the Icelandic fishing industry is bright.

Laugardalshöll– Sports and Exhibition Center Laugardalshöll is located in Laugardalur Sports Park, close to downtown Reykjavik.

The hall is used for major indoor sporting events, handball, basketball and athletics, as well as other events, concerts and tradeshows.

Built in the 1960´s and extended in the year 2006, Laugardalshöll (total 20,000 sq. meters) became the number one sports and exhibition center in Reykjavík. Laugardalshöll is located close to the center of Reykjavík, within walking distance of several major hotels and attractions. The buildings flexibility makes the arena suitable to a wide variety of sports events, including pop concerts and large classical events, family entertainment as well as conferences, trade shows, banquets and corporate events.

Laugardalshöll has a maximum capacity of 11,000 people. Due to it’s flexibility the arena can be arranged to provide a more intimate environment if needed. Several additional rooms surrounding the main hall may also be utilized to create a range of combinations for conferences, exhibitions, workshops, catering areas and entertainment.
