The International Fishing Trade Show

The 16th edition of ITECHMER, the leading fishing trade show in France, will take place October 15–17, 2025, at the Lorient Bretagne Sud Exhibition Center.

Organised by Lorient Bretagne Sud Events, ITECHMER will mark its 30th anniversary by bringing together marine professionals from across the industry.

The event continues its mission to infuse the fishing sector with optimism, innovation and collaboration through its exhibition spaces and rich conference programme.

30 Years of Support for a Resilient and Promising Industry

Since its creation in 1995, and with the ongoing support of regional partners and industry stakeholders, ITECHMER has been France’s only trade show dedicated exclusively to fishing technologies, equipment and services.

Over the years, it has become an essential business platform and economic hub for the fishing industry. Covering the entire value chain—from catching to processing, shipbuilding to marketing, R&D to training and governance—ITECHMER serves as a vital meeting point for professional organisations and for international exchanges.

Firmly anchored in Lorient, Brittany’s largest fishing port and a major marketplace for seafood, ITECHMER stands as both a flagship event for the industry and a driver of regional economic development. With each edition, the show showcases cutting-edge technological and scientific solutions, while fostering dialogue through its dynamic programme of conferences and professional meetings.

In 2023, ITECHMER welcomed 224 exhibitors and 5,347 visitors, including professionals, decision-makers, and investors.

This edition will look ahead to what French fishing could be by 2040. Successive crises have highlighted the importance of recognising the unique characteristics of French fishing, its diverse professions, multi-species approach, and the wealth of seafood it provides to consumers.

For three days, fishermen from mainland France and overseas territories, along with all stakeholders across the sector, will gather in Lorient to exchange, collaborate, and build the future together.
