RUSSIAN POLLOCK PLANT STARTED PRODUCTION

Russian Pollock plant started production

The Russian Pollock plant, built by the Russian Fishery Company (RFC) in Primoriye (Far East) within the framework of the investment quotas program, was commissioned and started commercial products production.

The agreement on the supply with the Far East retail chain “Samberi” was signed on the very day of the start of production.

“We are glad that our first partner is a Far Eastern company,” said Mikhail Degtyarenko, General Director of Russian Pollock LLC. “It is important for us that high-quality product from Pollock, which is caught in the Far East basin, will be received by the inhabitants of our “fish” region.”

“Our main goal is to provide buyers with fresh fish and fish products at affordable prices. The agreement, which was signed today, guarantees the continued availability of products from the local fishing company in the Sambury hypermarkets. Direct deliveries from the plant, where high-tech equipment is installed, allow us to expect a product of really decent quality, “- said Sergey Drobyshev, head of the regional procurement office of the Samberi hypermarket chain.

The Russian Pollock plant is the largest fish processing enterprise in the Primorsky Territory today. The enterprise’s capacities allow producing up to 155 tons of finished products per day, mainly frozen Pollock fillets and IQF, as well as mince briquettes, steaks and others. At least 20 tons of fish oil and fishmeal per day will be produced from the waste of the main production.

“The main raw material for the plant is Pollock harvested by the vessels of the Russian Fishery Company,” said Viktor Litvinenko, RFC’s general director. “Thus, the company ensures quality control from the moment of catching to packaging of finished products and guarantees the preservation of the unique beneficial properties of wild white fish for the consumer.”

Onshore fish processing plant “Russian Pollock”

The Russian Pollock plant was built within the framework of the investment quotas program on the territory (Nadezhdinskaya ASEZ, Primorsky Krai). LLC “Russian Pollock” is part of the Russian Fishery Company (RFC).

Capacity: 155 tons of finished products per day, at least 20 tons per day of products from fish waste.

Products: Frozen Pollock fillets (block and IQF). Additionally – mince and steaks, fishmeal, fish oil. Other types of white fish processing.

The RFC fleet carries out harvesting and transportation of wild Pollock for onshore processing.

Additional jobs in the region: 130-150 by the end of 2020, up to 350 jobs when the plant goes into 2-shift work

Expected contributions to the budget and extrabudgetary funds: more than 7 billion rubles in the first 10 years of operation.
