GOLD WINNING HUON SALMON

Gold Winning Huon Salmon. Huon Aquaculture has again excelled at the 2022 Royal Tasmanian Fine Food Awards, with two products awarded Gold and a further two products gaining a Silver award.

The Royal Tasmanian Fine Food Awards is one of the most respected and longest running food awards in Australia, and Huon’s unique products were, once again, well received by the judges, continuing the outstanding results in previous years.

Huon Aquaculture General Manager of Sales and Marketing, Natalie Isaac, said the whole team was thrilled to once again be recognised for its quality products.

“We strive to do our best and produce premium quality salmon for customers around the globe, because of a genuine love and belief in the product.

“We are extremely proud that our locally produced products are considered of such high grade by so many local, national and international judges.

“Huon Salmon is rich in nutrients including Omega 3 and has a delicate flavour so it’s a perfect addition to just about any meal – salads, pastas, appetisers or enjoyed straight from the pack!

The awards come as a testament to Huon’s commitment to sustainably raising salmon with optimal fish welfare in mind.

“Huon remains the first and only seafood producer in Australia to be included in RSPCA’s Approved Farming Scheme.

Natalie said Huon Salmon are grown in an environment that focuses on fish welfare first and foremost, including the provision of high-quality feed.

“We also have the lowest stocking density in Australia, giving our fish space to swim effortlessly and perform natural schooling behaviour, plus we pioneered farming in offshore sites to provide fish with access to high oxygen water.
