JOIN ASC DISCUSSION ON TRANSFORMING AQUACULTURE’S FUTURE

Join ASC discussion on transforming aquaculture’s future. Join ASC on Tuesday 1 March at 16.30 CET for a live panel discussion featuring five industry experts who will be answering questions about how innovations, collaborations, and certification schemes like ASC can help increase responsible practices in aquaculture. The discussion will be held remotely and is free to join, simply by registering at this link.
The discussion is taking place to launch one of ASC’s biggest ever public consultations, on the upcoming ASC Farm Standard. This single aligned standard will replace the existing ASC species standards and will deliver benefits such as greater consistency, efficiency and agility to ASC’s stakeholders. The consultation will launch on 1 March and will run for two months. Please keep an eye out for an embargoed press release from me in the coming days with more information on this important milestone for the ASC programme. This is the first time ASC has held a panel discussion to launch a public consultation.
Following an introduction from Chris Ninnes, ASC CEO, the live discussion will involve:
- Michiel Fransen, Director of Standards and Science, ASC
- Tanja Hoel, Director, Hatch Innovation Services
- Dane Klinger, Director of Aquaculture, Conservation International
- Ana Maria Costa, Senior Manager of Quality Systems, Songa
- David Little, Chair of Aquatic Resources Development, University of Stirling
In addition to the discussion, there will be a short period for live questions at the end. Please note that it is not possible to guarantee that all questions will be answered, but as always, if you have any questions for or about ASC, or would like to request an interview, don’t hesitate to get in touch with me directly by replying to this email.
The discussion will take place between 16.30 and 18.00 CET on Tuesday 1 March. If you would like to attend please register in advance at this link.
