HIGH FIVE

High five! 5 months, 5 tips, 5 euros. Raising awareness among and support the Sustainability Recovery Centre Sea Turtles of Riccione.

The collaboration between Roncalli Viaggi and the World Sustainability Foundation continues with enthusiasm.

After the success of past initiatives, which have made it possible to make donations for plantings in central Africa, we are ready to launch a new awareness campaign.

From April to August 2025, all customers who book and will confirm a trip to Roncalli Viaggi will contribute 5 euros per project of the Sea Turtle Recovery Centre with the Cetacea Foundation, a historic Italian non-profit organisation engaged in the protection of the marine environment since 1988. The Foundation’s flagship structure Cetacea is the Rescue Centre for Sea Turtles in Riccione, one of the most important parts of the Adriatic. The structure welcomes 60-80 specimens of sea turtles, mainly Caretta caretta, providing specialised care and rehabilitation prior to release into the wild.

In addition, each customer will receive 5 SMART TIPS for Travel sustainably. These recommendations will include tips on how to reduce the environmental impact while traveling, how to choose accommodation eco-friendly and how to support local communities.

Glauco Auteri, General Manager of Roncalli Viaggi, declares:

“This collaboration with the World Sustainability Organization, which has certified us as the first sustainable Travel Agency in Italy, is continuing very well. We notice a growing attention from customers towards environmental issues and we are structuring ad hoc proposals to offer unique experiences related to sustainability”.

“We are excited to continue our collaboration with Roncalli Viaggi. The project of the Waste Recovery Centre Sea Turtles of Riccione is a concrete example of how the sustainable initiatives can make a difference. Together, we are working for a greener and more sustainable future, raising awareness among travellers and supporting projects with a great environmental impact” said Paolo Bray, founder and Director of the World Sustainability Organisation.
