Next week’s Seafood Expo Global (SEG) in Barcelona (23-25 April) will provide an excellent opportunity for Scottish seafood processors to promote the excellence of their products and develop new export markets, says Jimmy Buchan, CEO of the Scottish Seafood Association.
Seafood from Scotland, in collaboration with Scottish Development International, will be showcasing 18 Scottish producers on the Scottish pavilion, and there will be other Scottish seafood companies exhibiting on their own individual stands, as well as many Scottish seafood representatives attending in person.
Jimmy Buchan told Fish Focus: “Scotland the brand has an enviable reputation throughout the world for the premium quality of its fish and shellfish, and Seafood Expo Global provides the perfect showcase opportunity to expand and develop exports in Europe and throughout the world.
“The Scottish seafood sector as a key role to play to ensure that the Scotland Food & Drink Partnership’s vision for a £30 billion turnover industry by 2030 is achieved.
