EU OCTOBER SHRIMP IMPORTS INCREASE 6% YOY

EU October shrimp imports increase 6% YOY. Year-total now 5% ahead of 2023.

In October, the EU’s shrimp imports (HS030617+HS16021/29) reached 54,074 MT, almost flat compared to September 2024 but up 6% year-over-year. The year total has now reached 453,346 MT, up 5% year-over-year and only 1% less than in 2022, when the EU imported a record volume of shrimp. If this month’s trend continues towards the end of the year, the EU will import 555,000 MT of shrimp, at par with the record of 2022.EU OCTOBER SHRIMP IMPORTS INCREASE
