GREENTECK GLOBAL’S GAME CHANGING APPROACH

GreenTeck Global’s game changing approach. Read Fish Focus’ latest publication focusing on seafood processing.

David Thurston was inspired to start GreenTeck Global back in 2017 and the  UK-based company has been successfully developing industrial and commercial cleaning and hygiene solutions designed with the planet in mind.

GREENTECK GLOBAL’S GAME CHANGING APPROACHDavid believes that their pioneering eco-friendly technologies have the power to revolutionise hygiene and waste management. And he told fish focus that:

“We are on a mission to help organisations understand why swapping harmful chemicals for sustainable systems makes good business sense.”

“Since harnessing the powerful disinfectant qualities of hypochlorous acid (HOCl) to create the company’s AquaTeck range, the company’s sustainable COSHH-free range has continued to expand. In addition to tackling food waste disposal, GreenTeck’s focus on 100% natural systems also incorporates ozone gas and aqueous ozone technologies.” continued David

With on-site solutions that reduce the cost and complexity of disinfection, David and his family-run business are helping companies understand how their actions have the power to create a safer world where everybody benefits.

GreenTeck Global’s pioneering green technologies harness the powerful natural cleaning and sanitising properties of ozone and hypochlorous acid (HOCl) to help businesses embrace more eco-friendly ways of working that are better for the workplace, better for the environment and better for your bottom line.

The non-toxic technologies harness the highest safety standards for the most powerful results. Working with world-leading laboratories and reviewing our accreditations regularly ensures our clients benefit from the most stringent standards and efficacy levels.

Using 100% natural sterilisers and with sustainable systems to suit every hygiene and waste management need, our innovative solutions help businesses reduce their dependency on harmful chemicals and improve their carbon footprint.

David explained:

“Hypochlorous (HOCl) is the perfect weapon in food processing and it achieves a 99.999 log kill on listeria and most importantly it is safe to use, safe for the environment and ecosystem and is not harmful to the product.

“GrenTeck Supplies in-situ systems produce on demand ready to use HOCL that use tap water, electricity and a small amount of food safe salt.

“HOCl is approved for use on food by the UK HSE and approved by M&S as a biocide and being food safe and have been successfully employed in the seafood sector with clients such as Devon Crab and New Wave SeaFood here in the UK.” added David

Sarah Dowdell,  Technical Manager at New Wave Seafood said:

“When I first stumbled across Greenteck and HOCl I was sceptical at best as I just couldn’t see how this product was going to do what it said on the tin!

“I met with John who was very passionate about the product and gave me all the assurances needed to show it could do everything they promised, but I wanted to see it for myself.

“So, I undertook my own “test”, and I could not believe how amazing the product was. The results in a controlled test environment were fantastic and you could see the product working when used alongside a Listeria indicator spray, but I still wondered how it would be in the real world.

“However, I need not have worried, as HOCl is amazing! It’s easy to use, reduces time and therefore manpower and has ensured that our processing environment is clean and remains free of Listeria which we regularly test for.  Our carbon footprint has also reduced considerably which is great for our sustainability credentials.

“The team at Greenteck are very attentive and supportive, and we are working alongside them moving forward, to see in what other areas we can use HOCl both on site, replacing existing cleaning/sanitising products and along with new and innovative ideas.” Sarah concluded.
