Icefish - The original Icelandic Fisheries Exhibition returns

A must-attend event for all commercial fisheries organisations and associated businesses, Icefish 2022 is set to host the latest developments from the industry showcasing new and innovative products and services, covering every aspect of the commercial fishing industry.

From locating, catching, processing and packaging, right through to the marketing and distribution of the end product, the Icelandic Fisheries Exhibition offers an unrivalled platform. The 2022 exhibition  is already over 90%  booked, ready to welcome an abundance of returning loyal companies, but also a long list of first time exhibitors from both Iceland and overseas. 

Large National pavilions will be present from Denmark, Norway, Faroe Islands and new for this exhibition, Spain.

 June’s event will also welcome new initiatives including:

  • Icefish Connect virtual exhibition and webinar platform to extend the reach beyond the exhibition halls.
  • Match making meetings – following the success of 90 meetings between 24 countries in 2017, this will again be a feature during Icefish.
  • 4th Fishwaste for Profit Conference – on day 2 and 3. Iceland truly pioneers in this, it will be aligned with a dedicated area for processing, value added, aquaculture and byproducts within the exhibition.
  • 8th Icelandic Fisheries Awards – held on the first night of the exhibition, the awards recognise excellence in Icelandic and International fisheries and seafood.
  • Continuous news reporting from sister titles World Fishing and Aquaculture and Fiskifrettir, Iceland’s weekly fishing news paper.
  • The return of the IceFish Bursary: Bursary of 2 million re-invested into the sector via further education for 4 students at Grindavik Technical College. The judging panel includes representatives from the Icefish organising team, Fisheries Iceland (SFS), Grindavik College, Marel and Landssamband Smábataeigenda.
