IRISH SKIPPER EXPO 2025 POISED TO BE A SPECTACULAR EVENT
Irish Skipper Expo 2025 Poised to be a Spectacular Event
With over 75 companies already confirmed, the Irish Skipper Expo 2025 promises to be a spectacular showcase for the fishing industry. The event will take place at the UL Sports Arena in Limerick on Friday, March 21, and Saturday, March 22, 2025.
Mara Media, the event organiser renowned for hosting top-tier industry expos, has responded to feedback from exhibitors and attendees by adjusting its schedule. Going forward, only one event will be hosted each year. The Irish Skipper Expo will now return in March 2025, followed by the Scottish Skipper Expo in May 2026 at the P&J Live Arena in Aberdeen.
Sharon Boyle, Commercial Fishing Manager at Mara Media, highlighted the company’s commitment to adapting to the evolving needs of the fishing industry in both Ireland and Scotland. “Our goal is to continue delivering exceptional exhibitions that showcase the finest products and services in the sector, alternating annually to accommodate our diverse visitors,” she said.
Returning to the Irish Skipper Expo, Charles Cleghorn of Charles Cleghorn Ltd emphasised the importance of the Limerick show for the Irish workboat and fishing vessel sector. “We consistently meet both long-term customers and potential new clients from across Ireland, including Northern Ireland. The event also draws representatives from Europe and Scandinavia, offering valuable networking opportunities,” Cleghorn said. He has been a loyal exhibitor for over a decade, valuing the in-person connections that are made at the expo.
Paul Quinn of South Shore Marine is also set to return, praising the 2024 show as one of the best in recent years. “There was excellent footfall and strong business activity, with many inquiries continuing even after the event. It was encouraging to see such interest in the industry,” he said.
Despite the challenges facing the fishing sector, Mara Media remains optimistic. “The Irish Skipper Expo is a positive event that looks toward the future. We encourage everyone to support the industry and join us in 2025,” they said.
