MEET ALLER AQUA AT AQUANOR 2019

MEET ALLER AQUA

Meet Aller Aqua at AquaNor 2019. Aller Aqua will once again participate at Vestlandets Fellesstand at AquaNor. This year a strong Aller Aqua team will be ready to discuss the latest developments in Aquafeed, and the company’s Aller Active Feed as well as the Powerras concept. Stop by the stand to find out what Alller Aqua can do for your fish farm.

Aller Aqua is once again looking forward to meeting customers, friends, students, partners and many others on stand 345 in hall D.

ALLER ACTIVE

Aller Active is Aller Aqua’s targeted feed for Norwegian salmon or trout and is a thoroughly tested fish feed which helps strengthen and protect the fish, ultimately improving performance on the fish farm. The feed is based on a strong recipe with an added mineral additive which help the fish grow stronger and develop a thick mucus layer, seemingly making it difficult for salmon lice to attach to the fish. This can result in less medication, less feed free days and faster production times compared to the industry standard, ultimately increasing earnings for fish farmers.

Protection

Aller Active helps the fish increase resistance towards sea lice and disease through increased health and a thickened mucus layer.

Healthy fish

The protection from sea lice and disease enables reduced delousing, reduction in medicinal treatment and faster production time. In fact, a production time of 12 months, rather than 16 months, is standard for Aller Active.

Performance

Healthy fast-growing fish achieved with a minimum of feed free days increases performance in DGR, reduced production time and ultimately earnings.

From trials at our facility in Vadheim, Norway, we experienced that start and end weight, fish value and fry feed were the same when using Aller Active compared with the industry standard, the difference was seen in the performance based on time and earnings. The fish all started at 100g and the end weight was 4670g. The big difference was that using Aller Active it was achieved four months faster.

Aller Active helps reduce production time and increase earnings by making the fish more resistant towards sea lice and disease, and thus reducing delousing and medical treatment.

POWERRAS – meeting the high demands in feeds for Recirculating Aquaculture Systems

The PowerRAS concept meets the high demands towards feed for RAS in terms of feed efficiency, optimal water quality and subsequent fish growth. The concept is the result of continuous research and trial work at Aller Aqua Research in combination with field trials.

Farming fish in Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS) has gained popularity across the globe. The control measures in RAS technology allow for fish production under constant environmental conditions. This accurate optimization between water parameters and fish biomass requires external factors to seamlessly integrate into this equilibrium. In this respect, feed is the most influential external factor in RAS. Therefore, feeds for RAS need to fulfil the requirements of this highly sophisticated and complex production technology by taking the following aspects to a new level:

–      Nutrient digestibility and palatability

–      Faeces quality

–      Fish metabolism and DP:DE ratio

–      Technical quality of the feed

–      Feed functionality

Within the PowerRAS concept Aller Aqua has developed Aller Flow in 3mm and 4.5mm specifically for salmon in RAS, whilst Aller Gold is a RAS optimized feed for trout. The feeds have been finetuned from some of our best recipes to specifically match the needs of RAS farmers.
