NOMINATIONS FOR PRESTIGIOUS ICES MARINE SCIENCE AWARDS NOW OPEN

Nominations for prestigious ICES marine science awards now open. Nominations for two of ICES prestigious awards, the Outstanding Achievement Award and the Prix d’Excellence are now open. These awards honour scientists who have made especially notable contributions to both ICES and the wider marine science world.
The Prix d’Excellence, presented every three years, recognises a scientist who has made substantial contributions to marine science. To be nominated for this award, candidates need not be active participants in ICES work or its activities.
The Outstanding Achievement Award recognises a member of ICES community who has made ongoing important contributions to our organisation in the field of marine science over a sustained period of time.
Nominations are submitted online. Read more about the criteria for awards and how to nominate.
International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES) awards recognise the diversity of the marine science community. We encourage nominations from groups currently underrepresented by our recognition programme, including women and those from underrepresented regions.
Deadline for submissions: 1 May 2023.
