RFС INCREASES THE OUTPUT

RFС increases the output of deep processing products by 15% in the 1st quarter of 2021. Russian Fishery Company (RFC) in the 1st quarter of 2021 produced 15% more sea-frozen Pollock fillet and mince than in the same period in 2020.

“The RFC took a course towards deepening processing in 2014, when some of the company’s vessels were modernised and equipped with processing factories,” commented Viktor Litvinenko, General Director of the Russian Fishery Company. “Thanks to deep processing at sea, we can flexibly respond to market challenges, in particular those related to the restriction of access to the Chinese market, which the industry is facing today. The commissioning of new supertrawlers, the first of which has already been received by the company, will make it possible to make a breakthrough in this direction – to process up to 100% of catches in fillets, mince and surimi at sea.

As previously reported, the company is also developing onshore production. At the beginning of March this year, the Russian Pollock plant was transferred to work in two shifts.

Despite the impact of the pandemic, the company fully fulfills its obligations to supply to various regions of the world: Europe, North America, the countries of Southeast Asia and Africa, and provides high quality of products and customer service.

In the first quarter, the company continued to develop new sales markets. In particular, a contract was signed for the supply of fillets to the Japanese market. Shipments of herring have begun to this country also.

Shipments to the domestic market increased by 25% compared to the first quarter of 2020, including products of deep processing – sea and double frozen Pollock fillets. The products of the Russian Pollock plant (loins, portioned Pollock fillets, etc.) were shipped mainly to the retail chains of the Far East.
