Federation of Indian Animal Protection Organisation – FIAPO to conduct webinar on “Sustainability Certification & New Fish Welfare Standards”

FIAPO is India’s apex animal rights organisation. As the collective voice of the animal rights movement in India, FIAPO is the catalyst that protects the rights and interests of animals at local and national levels. Created, for the movement, by the movement, FIAPO is India’s only federation with more than 120 members and 200 supporter organisations, nationally.

Friend of the Sea is a project of the World Sustainability Organisation (WSO) for the certification and promotion of seafood from sustainable fisheries and sustainable aquaculture that respect and protect the marine as well as land-based environment. It is the only certification scheme which, with the same logo, certifies both wild and farmed.

FIAPO while working on many themes also understood the need of creating awareness about fish welfare. Less known about fish welfare and hence they have invited “Dr. Paolo Bray, who’s a conservationist with over three decades of experience and Mr. Amod Ashok Salgaonkar who has developed an extensive network in the fisheries & aquaculture industry around the globe” to speak on the said topic through a national webinar which will take place on 01.10.2021 by 15.00-16.00 Hrs IST
