GARWARE TO PARTICIPATE IN NOR-FISHING 2026

Garware to participate in Nor-Fishing 2026. The company -a recognised ally of global salmon farming- will showcase its latest innovations in nets for fishing in Europe.

Norway is a major fishing market where Garware has been present for the past twenty years with its range of nets and ropes for fishermen. Therefore, the company will soon participate in Nor-Fishing, a showcase for commercial fishing, to be held in Trondheim, Norway, from August 18 to 20, 2026. “The solutions we will present are designed for one of the most demanding markets in the world and backed by a company with the technical strength to support growth sustainably,” comments Vivek Kumar, International Fishing at Garware Technical Fibres Ltd.

Showcase of Innovation and Technology Transfer

In terms of fishing nets, Garware will present its solutions for bottom trawling, pelagic trawling, and purse-seining (SNG, Sapphire, Plateena). “Our trawl net products offer additional advantages such as minimal or negligible shrinkage, greater longevity, and fuel economy. Meanwhile, our purse seine nets have performed well in Norway’s harsh marine conditions for decades. At the exhibition, we look to strengthen our relationship with the fishing industry. This event serves to consolidate the company’s European expansion,” comments Vivek Kumar.

Meanwhile, “For the Chilean subsidiary, presence at this northern hemisphere gathering represents knowledge transfer and the validation of standards. Nor-Fishing focuses on the commercial segment of fishing and aquaculture, allowing us to demonstrate the performance of our technical textile solutions under some of the most rigorous climatic and biological conditions in the world. The operational and regulatory demands of the Nordic seas set the standard,” notes Francisco Serra, Commercial Manager at Garware Chile.

Sustainability with a Global Standard

This participation aligns with Garware’s roadmap toward a more sustainable economy, reaffirming its role both as a provider of nets and ropes and as a global strategic partner capable of supporting the industry with technical backing, supply reliability, and cutting-edge research and development. “Producers can count on the backing of global textile engineering that optimises their operations and ensures their competitiveness,” concludes Serra.
