AQUAFUTURE SPAIN 2025 REACHES 200 EXHIBITORS AND CONSOLIDATES ITS INTERNATIONAL GROWTH

AQUAFUTURE SPAIN 2025

Aquafuture Spain 2025 reaches 200 exhibitors and consolidates its international growth. The third edition of Aquafuture Spain, which will be held from May 20 to 22, 2025 at the Ifevi exhibition centre in Vigo, has achieved a significant milestone by reaching the figure of 200 exhibitors from 27 countries, exceeding initial expectations and consolidating its position as a benchmark event in the aquaculture sector.

This achievement represents an increase of 33% compared to the first two editions, an objective that the organisation set itself when in 2023 it decided to move the venue of the event to Vigo and turn it into a biennial meeting. “With five months to go before the fair, we have completed the initial plan and continue to receive numerous requests, which has forced us to expand the capacity of the event,” said Juan Lijó, director of the fair.

An expanding event

Interest in Aquafuture Spain is not only reflected in the number of exhibitors, but also in the growing demand from professionals who wish to attend the event. The organisation expects to exceed 8,000 visitors during the three days of the fair, thanks to the attractiveness of a broader programme and greater internationalisation.

In addition, Aquafuture Spain has the support of key institutions such as the Xunta de Galicia, the Diputación de Pontevedra, the Concello de Vigo, the Consorcio de la Zona Franca de Vigo and Abanca, which have highlighted the importance of the only aquaculture sector fair in Spain being held in Galicia, a key region in this industry.

Programme of presentations and conferences

The Aquafuture Spain offer is not limited to the exhibition part. The event will have an expanded programme of more than 80 international speakers and parallel activities to promote the exchange of knowledge and innovation in the sector.

Two rooms will be available for exhibitors to present their products, studies and research, while a Conference Room will be the setting for seven round tables on strategic issues for international aquaculture.

Growth and international projection

Aquafuture Spain is consolidating its position as an essential meeting point for the global aquaculture sector, bringing together companies, researchers and professionals from around the world. Its growth and success demonstrate Galicia’s potential as an epicentre of innovation in aquaculture and reinforce Spain’s role as a benchmark in this industry.
