GreenFish expands global reach as demand grows for AI-powered fishing intelligence

IceFish exhibitor GreenFish, a global leader in AI-powered fishing prediction modelling, is experiencing growing demand from commercial fishing operators worldwide as fleets seek new ways to reduce fuel consumption, improve efficiency and maximise profitability.

The latest sign of the company’s expansion comes from Mexico, where GreenFish has secured a new contract to provide its advanced AI prediction models to leading commercial fishing companies Baja Aqua Farms and Grupomar.

The agreement strengthens a rapidly growing international customer base that already includes major fishing operators targeting tuna, demersal and small pelagic species across the world’s principal fishing regions.

At the heart of the GreenFish platform is a sophisticated artificial intelligence model capable of predicting the location, quantity, size and bycatch composition of fish stocks up to eight days in advance. The company reports a minimum prediction accuracy of 75 per cent, regardless of species or fishing area, providing operators with actionable intelligence before vessels leave port.

A key differentiator of the GreenFish approach is its commitment to exclusivity. Each AI model is developed for a single client and remains entirely confidential and owned by that operator. As the model continuously learns from new data, it evolves into a valuable strategic asset, improving its predictive capabilities over time and creating a long-term competitive advantage.

The company believes that operators who begin building and training their AI models earlier will be better positioned to benefit from increasingly accurate predictions and operational insights, helping them stay ahead in an increasingly competitive seafood sector.

With fuel costs continuing to represent one of the largest expenses for commercial fishing fleets, the ability to identify high-probability fishing grounds and respond to rapidly changing ocean conditions can deliver significant savings while improving catch efficiency. For GreenFish customers, this translates into reduced search time, lower operating costs and stronger financial performance.

Visitors to IceFish will have the opportunity to learn more about how artificial intelligence is transforming fisheries management and commercial fishing operations through GreenFish’s cutting-edge predictive technology.
