IceFish 2026 to showcase latest innovations across global seafood industry

The global fisheries, aquaculture and seafood industries will converge in Iceland later this month as IceFish 2026 brings together industry leaders, technology providers and seafood professionals from around the world.

Taking place in Kópavogur from 22–24 September, the event will provide an opportunity for businesses across the seafood supply chain to explore new technologies, exchange ideas and develop commercial connections.

The exhibition is expected to attract professionals from the commercial fishing and aquaculture sectors, with a programme covering many of the key challenges and opportunities facing the industry.

Alongside the exhibition, visitors will have access to conferences, live product demonstrations, networking opportunities and a series of presentations highlighting developments in fisheries, aquaculture, vessel operations and seafood technology.

Knowledge Box highlights industry innovation

One of the main features of IceFish 2026 will be the Knowledge Box, a dedicated presentation theatre where exhibitors and industry experts will share their knowledge and showcase new solutions.

Presentations will include WAGNER Fire Safety AS examining the advantages of oxygen reduction systems for fire protection, while Mouritz Mohr, CEO of MEST, will introduce the company’s new large-scale dry dock.

CatchWise will also present MyCatch, a system designed to allow fishing businesses to use their own historic catch data to help make more informed and efficient fishing decisions.

Further presentations will take place throughout the three-day event.

Opportunities to build new business connections

IceFish will also place a strong emphasis on business networking, with a dedicated matchmaking programme connecting visitors and exhibitors with suppliers, buyers and decision-makers from across the seafood value chain.

Pre-arranged meetings will take place on Tuesday 22 September and Wednesday 23 September, between 12:00 and 16:00, giving businesses the opportunity to identify potential customers, suppliers and commercial partners.

Visitors encouraged to register in advance

Visitors are being encouraged to register for their entry badges ahead of the event to avoid queues and make the most of their time at IceFish.

Registered visitors can also schedule meetings and add presentations and other events to their personal IceFish calendar, allowing them to plan their visit around the areas of greatest interest.

With fisheries, aquaculture and seafood businesses facing continued pressure to improve efficiency, sustainability and productivity, IceFish 2026 will provide an opportunity to see how new technologies and services are being developed to meet those challenges.
