ICELANDIC TOTAL CATCH IN JULY WAS 86 THOUSAND TONNES

Icelandic total catch in July was 86 thousand tonnes. The fishing catch amounted to nearly 86 thousand tonnes in July 2025, which is 10% more than in July 2024. Demersal catch decreased by 1% between years and was nearly 26 thousand tonnes, while pelagic catch was 58 thousand tonnes, mostly mackerel.

During the twelve-month period from August 2024 to July 2025, the total catch was 980 thousand tonnes compared with 1,057 thousand tonnes one year earlier which is a 7% decrease.
