A milestone has just been reached in the recognition and promotion of tangible decarbonisation solutions: the official launch of the Avoided Emissions Platform (AEP). This global initiative—led by recognised actors such as Quantis, Robeco, Mirova, Edmond de Rothschild AM, and I Care by BearingPoint, and supported by over 30 partners—establishes a transparent, rigorous, and
harmonised methodology to measure avoided emissions (“scope 4”) across 65 sectors, ranging from energy and agriculture to industry, real estate, and food systems.

in this independent database, built upon robust Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) data.

This project illustrates how public initiatives can integrate the scientific data and operational expertise provided by specialised industrial players like Innovafeed to objectively assess the real impact of emerging solutions.
