MORE THAN 100 AQUACULTURE COMPANIES TO PARTICIPATE IN AQUA EXPO GUAYAQUIL 2021

More than 100 aquaculture companies to participate in Aqua Expo Guayaquil 2021. The National Chamber of Aquaculture of Ecuador (CNA) confirmed that the most important technical and commercial aquaculture event of the region, ‘Aqua Expo 2021‘, will be held on-site at the Guayaquil Convention Centre from October 25th to October 28th.

The trade show will be set up in approximately 6,950 m², hosting at least 200 stands that will promote their products, services and new technologies among visitors. The number of expected visitors is 1,000 on average per day, taking personal control measures such as wearing masks and social distancing as per established capacity policies to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Furthermore, Aqua Expo Guayaquil will feature at least 30 local and international speakers who will be sharing updated knowledge about animal health, nutrition and food management, quality and safety, efficient production processes, the use of new technologies, and shrimp market projections.

We have returned to on-site events considering that Ecuador currently has more than 70% of the economically active population immunised, and that the Ecuadorian shrimp industry has already
completed its COVID-19 vaccination plan.

This is not the first time that the CNA has successfully carried out a face-to-face event during the pandemic, last year’s Aqua Expo 2020 was held on-site at the Convention Centre; considering the capacity policies set at that time, it features the participation of more than 60 local and foreign companies, as well as 30 international and Ecuadorian speakers. In 2021, Aqua Expo El Oro was also held at the Oro Verde hotel in Machala city on August 18th and 19th, featuring 45 stands and 17 speakers for the technical conference programme.

Likewise, in Aqua Expo Guayaquil 2021 temperature control will be maintained for all visitors at the venue, verification of the correct use of the mask and social distancing in all areas; with the purpose of ensuring everyone’s health and enjoying the best of the global aquaculture industry in one place.
