NEW FISH WELFARE CAMERA FOR AQUACULTURE

NEW FISH WELFARE CAMERA FOR AQUACULTURE

New fish welfare camera for aquaculture. Imenco has introduced the first multi-camera system to the aquaculture industry, combining its Feeding and Inspection Camera with the new Fish Welfare Camera. This innovative solution offers comprehensive control over feeding, biomass estimation, lice counting, and overall fish health within the cage.

Paired with Createview’s user-friendly software, this system provides an unprecedented and holistic view of fish welfare.

Detecting and counting sea lice underwater has always been a challenge, but the clarity of Imenco’s fish welfare camera now makes it easier than ever to identify and count sea lice without the need to handle the fish.

The Imenco group, in collaboration with its subsidiary Createview, has launched the C2 concept, a cutting-edge solution for biomass measurement, welfare detection, and lice counting. Built on the self-developed CView platform, this concept uses advanced cameras and software to streamline operations.

Data algorithms automatically count and estimate the number of sea lice in a cage at any time, a method that has received approval from the Norwegian Food Safety Authority. Additionally, operators can manually inspect images to gain a detailed understanding of fish health within the cage. The camera is versatile, capturing even the smallest details for various operational needs.
