Nordic Aqua Partners joins UN Global Compact

Nordic Aqua Partners has been accepted as a participant of the United Nations Global Compact – the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative. By signing up, we commit to align our strategy and operations with the universal principles on human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption.

Immediate priorities for us as we align with the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, include developing a robust climate and nature strategy, and working towards meeting the new European reporting standards and compliance with the Norwegian Transparency Act.

CEO, Ragnar Joensen said: “This will be one of many steps we intend to take as a business to demonstrate our ambition to offer low-impact high-value food to the Chinese market. We are delighted to have been accepted into this global initiative and will aim to begin communicating on our progress as a UNGC Participant in our next reporting cycle.”

Nordic Aqua Partners provides the Chinese market with fresh, high-quality Atlantic salmon farmed in a sustainable and state-of-the-art Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS) facility located in Xiangshan county of Ningbo.
