Ocean Decade Australia’s Jas Chambers announced as Seafood Directions keynote speaker. Ocean Decade Australia is a not-for-profit charitable organisation connecting Australia’s ocean stakeholders through new and novel approaches to bring about national change and improvement in our approach to ocean management, stewardship, and use.
Jas is committed to learning and sharing knowledge about the Sustainable Development Goals, and in particular SDG14 – Life below Water. Jas has worked in Australian higher education and government in senior leadership roles across STEM operations and organisational transformation, communications, and international science diplomacy including with United Nations Specialized Agencies and the UNESCO Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission, representing Australia.
Jas as is a graduate of marine science, psychology and communications, and serves as Secretary to Science & Technology Australia, Chair of the Sydney Institute for Marine Science Foundation and Board Member of the Grok Academy.
