TRIDENT AQUA SERVICES STRENGTHENS FLEET WITH NEW SERVICE VESSEL AT SLETTA VERFT

TRIDENT AQUA SERVICES STRENGTHENS FLEET

Trident Aqua Services strengthens fleet with new service vessel at Sletta Verft. Trident Aqua Services has contracted a new 20-metre service vessel at Sletta Verft. With this newbuild, the company is strengthening its fleet while also continuing to build on a vessel concept that has already proven its value in operation.

The newbuild will be the fourth vessel in the same series and continues a concept Trident Aqua Services has built solid experience with through previous deliveries. The vessel is designed by Solstrand Trading and developed for a broad range of tasks, including service, support, transport and towing operations. With an optimised hull design, electric propulsion technology and a 1,500 kWh battery pack, the vessel will combine operational flexibility with more energy-efficient solutions. It will have a deck cargo capacity of 100 tonnes and a bollard pull of 15 tonnes.

“For us, this is about more than just a new vessel. It is about continuing to build on solutions we know work well in practice. When we find a concept that gives us the right capacity, high flexibility and strong operational performance over time, it is natural for us to keep developing it further. That creates value both for us and for our customers,” says Arild Aasmyr, CEO of Trident Aqua Services.

This will be the 18th vessel Trident Aqua Services has built at Sletta Verft, and the newbuild will form part of the same design and concept series as Multi Storfjord, Multi Challenger and Multi Frontier.

For Trident Aqua Services, the contract reflects a long-term approach to fleet development, where experience, standardisation and operational needs are closely aligned.

“We will continue to invest in modern vessels that strengthen our delivery capacity and meet our customers’ needs. This newbuild is a good example of how we continue to develop the company, building on solutions we believe in,” says Aasmyr.

The cooperation with Sletta Verft is built on many years of trust and repeated deliveries, and both parties highlight the value of continuing with a concept they know well.

“We are very pleased that Trident Aqua Services has once again chosen to build with us. When we get to build several vessels in the same series, we are also able to further develop both the solutions and the collaboration along the way. That leads to good processes and good vessels. At the same time, we are pleased to have strong partners on board, such as Solstrand Trading for design and Frydenbø Elmarin for the battery and electrical installation, together with other suppliers delivering at a world-class level,” says Kåre Sletta of Sletta Verft.

The new vessel will be another addition to a fleet in development, while also reflecting Trident Aqua Services’ ambition to continue building capacity based on experience, quality and forward-looking solutions.
