Western Rock Lobster appoints new Programme Officer

Western Rock Lobster in Australia has announced that after a comprehensive and competitive recruitment process, Nicola Hutchinson has joined the team as their Program Officer to ensure WRL achieves its strategic objectives by delivering WRL’s portfolio of programs and projects in a cost-effective and efficient manner.

Western Rock Lobster (WRL) is the peak industry body representing the interests of the western rock lobster fishery.

Nicola Hutchinson brings strong project and change management skills from a range of corporate, research and training organisations.

Nicola’s responsibilities include developing project proposals and planning the delivery of the Industry Partnership Agreement RD&E programs, including the roll-out of the SeSAFE tool to our members, the MSC recertification process, and future enhancements to the BOB lobster sales and DECK Programs.

Many years as a recreational SCUBA diver developed in Nicola a keen interest in technology as key to managing the fine balance between people’s needs and the ocean’s treasures. On weekends she loves beachcombing and bushwalking with her husband and young son.
