DENMARK SHOWCASES INNOVATION, COLLABORATION AND NEW MARKET AMBITIONS

DENMARK SHOWCASES INNOVATION

Denmark showcases innovation, collaboration and new market ambitions when 37 companies exhibit on Pavilion of Denmark at SPG 2026. At SPG 21-23 April 2026 held at FIRA Gran Via Barcelona, the Danish aquaculture, fish processing and fisheries industries will once again present a strong, unified presence on the Pavilion of Denmark in Hall 3. Pavilion of Denmark is organised by Danish Export – Fish Tech. With 37 companies exhibiting, the pavilion highlights Denmark’s leading position within technology and solutions to the industries mentioned, while also reflecting a growing interest in exploring new markets across the world.

Pavilion of Denmark serves as a platform where Danish companies can showcase their expertise, exchange knowledge and strengthen international partnerships. This year, several new exhibitors are joining both the pavilion and the exhibition for the first time – using the event as a strategic entry point to assess new business opportunities and expand their international footprint.

New exhibitor targeting Southern European growth

Among the newcomers is Plast-Line, a well-established supplier of plastic piping systems, fittings and valves for the aquaculture industry. While the company has a strong presence in the Nordic markets, SPG 2026 marks an important step in exploring opportunities further south.

“We are well established in the Nordic region, and now we are looking towards Southern Europe to see where there is business potential,” says Anders Garde Thomassen, Head of Export at Plast-Line A/S.

Plast-Line participates as both a supplier and partner to many companies in the Danish ecosystem, delivering solutions to major design and system integrators. Their participation at SPG reflects both a commercial ambition and a commitment to maintaining strong Danish competencies within aquaculture.

Focus on sustainability and product quality

Another first-time exhibitor at SPG is FM Bulk Handling, which specialises in the gentle handling of fish feed pellets – a niche with significant environmental and economic impact.

For FM Bulk Handling, SPG is an opportunity to increase visibility and connect with both new and existing industry players.

“SPG is an important platform for us to strengthen relationships and create awareness about our solutions,” says Jeppe Bergmann Rasmussen, Owner and Head of Sales at FM Bulk Handling A/S.

Their core message centres on “gentle handling” technology, which reduces feed waste and minimises environmental impact by preventing pellet breakage during transport and processing.

A platform for collaboration and innovation

By bringing together both established players and new entrants, the Pavilion of Denmark at SPG 2026 will demonstrate the breadth and depth of Danish expertise in aquaculture, fish processing and fisheries. The strong presence of 37 companies exhibiting underlines the sectors continued growth and its ambition to expand into new markets through collaboration, innovation, and shared knowledge.

The Pavilion of Denmark is organised by Danish Export – Fish Tech, supported by The Trade Council, with Food Nation Denmark as branding partner.
