Doors Open for the Norway – UK Seafood Summit 2025

The 2025 Norway – UK Seafood Summit officially opens this morning, bringing together key industry leaders to discuss the latest trends, challenges and opportunities in the seafood trade.

This highly anticipated event features a dynamic programme of insightful presentations, Q&A sessions, and engaging panel discussions. A major highlight will be the launch of the Global Seafood Trends Report 2025, offering key insights into the megatrends shaping the industry’s future.

The summit will delve into developments in whitefish and salmon supply and trade, with expert analysis from the Institute of Marine Research on the science behind Norway’s fisheries management. Discussions will also cover supply trends, consumer preferences, and market opportunities for cold-water prawns, along with a dedicated session on the future of the UK fish and chip sector.

Industry collaboration will be a central theme, with the newly formed UK Seafood Federation (UKSF) presenting its vision for growth. The programme also includes an in-depth look at the future of farmed cod and a comprehensive discussion on the evolving Norway-UK seafood trade.

With broad industry representation and ample networking opportunities, the summit aims to encourage bilateral partnerships and shape a sustainable, prosperous future for the seafood sector.
