ICELANDIC CATCH VALUE IN THE FIRST QUARTER 47 BILLION ISK

Icelandic catch value in the first quarter 47 billion ISK. According to preliminary figures, the total catch in the first quarter of 2025 was just under 213 thousand tonnes, which is a 2% decrease from the first quarter of 2024. About 2% increase was in demersal fish catch which was just under 119 thousand tonnes in the first quarter.
Catch value in the first quarter increased by 17% compared with the previous year and totalled just over 47 billion ISK in the first three months of 2025. Of this, the value of demersal fish catch was 41 billion ISK, a 23% increase from previous year. ICELANDIC CATCH VALUE IN THE FIRST
