KFE ON A MISSION TO SUPPORT THE FISH AND CHIP INDUSTRY

KFE on a mission to support the fish and chip industry. Help us raise vital funds for The Fishermen’s Mission!

The industry’s biggest fundraiser, KFE on a Mission, returns for 2026

KFE on a Mission is back, bringing award-winning training directly into fish and chip shops across the UK, while raising much-needed funds for The Fishermen’s Mission.
How to take part

It’s simple! Award-winning operators will be visiting shops across England, Scotland and Wales from Monday 23rd March to Wednesday 25th March, offering training in return for a donation. A half day training session is available for a recommended donation of £250, with full day sessions from £500 – although all donations are always welcome!

With more award-winning trainers to be announced, those already confirmed include:

Gordon Hillan
Stuart Devine
Calum Richardson
Nigel Hodgson
Stuart Fusco
Kelly Barnes
Fred Capel
Mark Petrou
Garry Rosser

All fish and chip shops and restaurants across the UK are invited to take part.

More chances to join in

The event culminates in a charity dinner at the newly opened 180-seater Crab & Lobster Fish Shack in South Queensferry, near Edinburgh, on the evening of Wednesday 25th March.

Enjoy a superb meal plus a charity raffle featuring fantastic prizes, including a tonne of batter, a Bold batter mixer, gift vouchers, cases of fish and more. Every penny raised will go directly to The Fishermen’s Mission.

Excited to be hosting KFE on a Mission once again, KFE Managing Director Tanya Henderson says:

“2026 marks KFE’s 30th anniversary, and what better way to celebrate than by bringing back one of the industry’s biggest fundraising events? KFE on a Mission is a chance for the whole industry to get involved and support a charity that sits at the very heart of what we do. Without our brave fishermen, there would be no fish and chip industry.

“This initiative allows operators to gain valuable training from award-winning operators, while directly helping a vital cause. We hope to see as many people as possible at the fundraising dinner, and we’ll make sure those who can’t attend still have the chance to bid on prizes so that we can make this year even bigger!”

Our fundraising legacy

KFE on a Mission has previously raised:

£13,000 in 2017
£14,500 in 2019
For 2026, we’re aiming even higher.

About The Fishermen’s Mission

The Fishermen’s Mission is the only national charity that works solely to support active and former fishermen and their families with housing, healthcare and essential services. Fishing remains the UK’s most dangerous peacetime occupation, with 100 fishermen losing their lives in the last 10 years. Show your support for this important charity by booking training for you and your staff, or attending our charity dinner. All fish and chip shops and restaurants across the UK are invited to take part.
