LOCH FYNE OYSTERS INNOVATIVE PARTNERSHIP WITH DOBBIES

Award-winning Scottish seafood company Loch Fyne Oysters have teamed up with Dobbies Garden Centres in a new initiative which will offer visitors across the UK to purchase fresh oysters, mussels and smoked salmon.
The first Loch Fyne seafood counter opened recently at Dobbies store in Livingston has, for the first time, brought award-winning seafood from the shores of Loch Fyne to Dobbies much loved garden centres and was marked with a demonstration of oyster shucking by one of Loch Fyne’s skilled oystermen.
Loch Fyne Oysters Ltd sells quality seafood products to clients worldwide, from its base on the shores of Loch Fyne on the west coast of Scotland, including to many top hotels, restaurants and events and has become recognised as a world-leader in the responsible and ethical farming of seafood. It became the first company in the world to be given a special certification by the Aquaculture Stewardship Council in recognition of its responsible farming of blue mussels last year.
Dobbies stores across the UK are planning Loch Fyne Seafood counters, with more opening in the coming months. The stores will have fresh seafood delivered on a regular basis and staff, specially trained at the Loch Fyne Oyster Bar and delicatessen in Argyll, will be on-hand to talk to customers about the seafood products on offer.
Loch Fyne Oysters Managing Director Cameron Brown said:
“We are delighted to be working with Dobbies to bring top quality seafood to their stores. Dobbies customers can now go home with smoked salmon or fresh oysters knowing that exactly the same products are being served to diners in the finest hotels in the world. Our responsible farming practices also complement Dobbies environmentally friendly approach to gardening by sourcing all their plants from the UK.”
Archie Stewart, Head of Food at Dobbies Garden Centres, said:
“Bringing Loch Fyne seafood into our Livingston Foodhall builds on the high quality produce offering that Dobbies customers know and love. We’re excited to be taking this first step and look forward to introducing Loch Fyne to more of our stores across the UK in the near future.”
