Helgeland Plast AS was founded in 1969 and has since then delivered self-produced plastic pipes and profiles in various parts to a number of industries. In AKVA’s modern factory premises in Mo i Rana, they extrude Polyethylene pipes (PE) with diameters from 20 – 1,200 mm.

In 1974 AKVA launched the first PE plastic farming cage. The cage, which was named the Polarcirkel cage, quickly gained popularity and has since been sold in tens of thousands of copies to customers around the world. Today, Polarcirkel is also a well-known boat brand. The Polarcirkel boats come in a variety of models and, with their stable hulls of rigid PE pontoons, excellent sea properties and endless opportunities for customisation, have become a favourite among customers in the aquaculture industry, tourism industry, rescue agencies and several other industries.
