PTG WILL SUPPLY RSW SYSTEMS FOR SEVEN NEW FISHING VESSELS

PTG WILL SUPPLY RSW SYSTEMS

PTG will supply RSW systems for seven new fishing vessels. PTG has secured a record delivery of 17 RSW plants to Karstensens Shipyard in Denmark and three RSW plants to Westcon Yards in Norway. The newbuilds will be built for Norwegian and Scottish shipping companies and will be delivered on a continuous basis over the next two years.

The delivery from PTG consists of a total of 20 RSW plants (Refrigerated Sea Water) which are produced at their factory in Malmefjorden, Hustadvika, on the west coast of Norway.

“We are very proud to once again be chosen by shipyards and shipping companies as a supplier of RSW facilities. In this series of contracts, there are also several “new ship owners” who have chosen us as a supplier for their vessels for the first time,” reports Johnny Valle, sales and marketing vice president for marine and industry at PTG.

“We clearly see that our collaboration with shipyards and ship owners over many years, along with our continued focus on product development for reduced energy consumption, as well as environmental footprint, ammonia filling and weight, have all been important factors in us winning these contracts.”

In 2022 PTG established PTG UK in Peterhead, Scotland for service and sales.

“This has been well received by existing and new customers in the UK. Our presence with service in this area has clearly been a decisive factor in concluding these new contracts,” says general manager of PTG UK Julian Ramsey.

He concludes by saying that the work they have done so far is yielding good results, and he looks forward to working with old and new customers in the UK in the future.
