RAISE THE REAPER’S MAST

RAISE THE REAPER'S MAST

Raise the Reaper’s mast, historic ship needs an extra boost for the final phase of restoration. The Reaper has appeared in Outlander and Tom Cunliffe’s Boats that Built Britain.

The Scottish Fisheries Museum is running a Crowdfunder to raise money to go towards the masts of their flagship the Reaper as part of the final restorations. These restorations will allow the museum to go back to using her as an outreach vessel and connecting fishing towns and villages through teaching their joint history.

“Good to see our old vessels getting restored, they are a piece of our history” … “donating to help keep the restoration going is a pleasure. Looking forward to seeing the full restoration [complete].” Steven Elder, pledger.

There are lots of rewards for pledging. You can own part of the reaper in the form of a paperweight made from wood stripped from the Reaper during the restoration process. You can also get hold of high quality A4 prints of the Reaper while she was being restored or when she arrived back in Anstruther. Why not go all out and pledge for your space at an exclusive 3 course dinner for 6 upon the vessel before her official relaunch.

There are more rewards and experiences available that will suit everybody on our crowdfunder page. A video on the page will also show you the highlights of the major restorations done at Babcock’s Rosyth Facilities.

You can donate via crowdfunder.co.uk/raise-the-reapers-masts or in person at the Scottish Fisheries Museum
