SCOTLAND DIRECTOR OF THE YEAR AWARDED TO ACE AQUATEC

SCOTLAND DIRECTOR OF THE YEAR

Scotland Director of the Year Awarded to Ace Aquatec. Ace Aquatec Managing Director Nathan Pyne-Carter has been awarded the Institute of Directors annual award for Director of the Year in the category for Innovation.

The Director of the Dundee-based company was also shortlisted for two other awards in the categories of Small-Medium Business and Family Business.

The judges commented that Pyne-Carter “is a leader who understands and embraces innovation and this innovation has wider-reaching impacts than on the business – the environment, ethics and sustainability.”

Pyne-Carter added: “Obviously there are people who are leaders in their own sector who we were going up against, and it was a really nice surprise to find that what we’re doing in the aquaculture space is perceived well and to get this acknowledgement for the hard work that we’re doing in that space. It’s good to see that compared to other sectors we are also standing out for our innovation and technology development.”

The Institute of Director’s Award is the latest win for the Scottish aquaculture technology supplier after receiving the Queen’s Award for Enterprise Innovation for the second year in a row.

Ace Aquatec is also shortlisted for the Aquaculture Award in the category of Animal Welfare, which will be held at Dynamic Earth, Edinburgh on Wednesday 29 May. Pyne-Carter is shortlisted for the People’s Choice award at this event.
