Sustainable Fisheries Partnership to host panels and showcase innovations at Seafood Expo Global 2025. Sustainable Fisheries Partnership (SFP), a global non-profit focused on rebuilding depleted fish stocks, reducing the environmental impacts of fishing and fish farming, and advancing economic opportunities for fishing communities will be prominently featured at this year’s Seafood Expo Global, held May 6-8, 2025, at the Fira Barcelona Gran Via Venue in Barcelona, Spain.
SFP will be located at Stand #3N502, where attendees are invited to connect with SFP leadership, including founder and CEO Jim Cannon. Attendees may also explore tools and resources, and learn about the organisation’s latest initiatives aimed at driving sustainable seafood sourcing and production.

The Future of Aquaculture is Now

Join a forward-looking panel discussion featuring SFP CEO Jim Cannon and Aquaculture Stewardship Council CEO Chris Ninnes, moderated by Barbara Janker, ASC Commercial Director for Europe and Asia-Pacific. The session will focus on a new participatory roadmap for aquaculture, using farmed shrimp in India as a case study.
An Essential Safeguard: Ecosystem-Based Fisheries Management Can Improve Aquaculture Sustainability

This panel will explore the role of forage fisheries in aquaculture sustainability and the importance of ecosystem-based fisheries management. Speakers include SFP’s Global Supply Chain Director Dave Martin, Katy Hladki and Andrew Clayton of the Pew Charitable Trusts, and Goncalo Carvalho of Sciaena.
